On December 30, 2021 “Pinita” Gurdian de Vijil took the risk of appearing in a press conference to denounce an incident where a drunken high level Police official entered into her daughter´s prison cell. Ana Margarita Vijil has been a political prisoner in solitary confinement now over 200 days. The regime has been especially harsh with Pinita, taking her passport away from her while traveling to Costa Rica for cancer treatment. She also has a granddaughter, Tamara Dávila who is a political prisoner. What follows is a translation of her statement at the press conference.
